How To Use Cuboid Calculator  Hide

Lets first understand, what is a cuboid and how we can find different properties of a cuboid?

Cuboid

A cuboid is a convex polyhedron bounded by six quadrilateral faces, whose polyhedral graph is the same as that of a cube.

We use 'cuboid' to refer to a shape of the type in which each of the faces is a rectangle and the type of cuboid is also known as rectangular cuboid, right cuboid, rectangular box or rectangular hexahedron.

A cuboid has 6 faces, 8 vertices and 12 edges.

Rectangular Cuboid

In a rectangular cuboid, all angles are right angles, and opposite faces of a cuboid are equal.

The square cuboid or right square prism is a special case of the cuboid in which at least two faces of a cuboid are squares.

The cube is a special case of the square cuboid in which all six faces are squares.

Formulas

Let the Length, Breadth and Height of the Cuboid be \(L, B, H\) units respectively.

Volume of the Cuboid will be \(L.B.H\) cubic units.

Total Surface Area of the Cuboid will be \(2(L.B + B.H + H.L)\) square units.

Lateral Surface Area of the Cuboid will be \(2(L + B).H\) square units.

Length of Space Diagonal of the Cuboid will be \(\sqrt{L^2 + B^2 + H^2}\) units.

For calculating different properties of the cuboid using above cuboid calculator, you have to just write the values in the given input boxes and press the calculate button, you will get the result.
